Imphal, February 02: CPI (M) Manipur State Committee has appealed to the Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Transport, Tourism and Culture to take up necessary steps for the development of roads, tourism, aviation and culture in Manipur.

In a memorandum, Secretary of the State CPI committee informed that transportation system in the State is in a horrible state particularly in the remote areas and has been one of the important causes for the economic backwardness of the State and further urged the chairman to take up necessary steps for developing transportation system in the State.
