The 3rd foundation day of Royal Riders Manipur was celebrated at the Kangshang of Khuman Lampak Sports complex here today.
Presided over by president of Royal Riders Manipur RK Tombisana, the function was attended by SP of Imphal East Th Radheshyam Singh as chief guest and Additional Director of Education (S) Hareshwar Goswami as guest of honour.
Photograph exhibition of the activities taken up by Royal Riders during the course of the journey of campaign in remote hill areas of the State, hoisting of the flag and presentation of the annual report of the organisation and paying floral tributes and homage to the departed members of the organisation were among of the main highlight of the foundation day function.
A blood donation camp was also conducted to mark the occasion.
Speaking at the occasion, SP Radheshyam observed that helping where it is needed the most the highest virtue which cannot be compared with anything.
Giving away one's own share to help others is the highest Karma.
Hareshwar Goswami pointed out that individuals in every professional fields should show their love for the country through their respective profession.
If a farmer understands and keeps in mind that excessive use of fertiliser is harmful to the health of the people at the time of applying the fertiliser, then that farmer has love for his country, he cited as
an example.
