Imphal, April 15:
The proscribed united National Liberation Front has categorically denied the NSCN (IM) claim that the former was involved in the factional clash of the NSCN at Keimai area of Tamenglong district.
Referring to a news report published in some dailies, senior publicity officer of the UNLFs department of publicity Yoiheiba described the NSCN (IM) allegation as an act of desperate misinformation campaign to check the ever growing chasm in relationship between the IM group and the public in general and people of Tamenglong district in particular.
Recalling that the K group of the Naga underground organisation had already claimed responsibility for targeting IM activists following public complaint of IM atrocities, UNLF reiterated that neither the outfit nor the KNF were involved in the Keimai camp assault as alleged by the NSCN (IM).
Asserting that time has arrived for the general public, particularly the Naga people for deep introspection of the IMs agenda and design, Yoiheiba cited enticement of NSCN (IM) in the Govt of Indias peace talk trap as the main reason for anxiety and insecurity gripping the Naga outfit as its support base had begun to gradually decimate.
In its endeavour to woo the Naga people remain within the outfits ambit sinister agenda is being pursuit by the NSCN (IM) by not only sowing seeds of enmity within the Naga community but trying to drive a wedge between in the multi-community society as was evident during the Naga-Kuki clash, observed the UNLF.
