The biggest volleyball open event for the Zeliangrong community concluded with Bwanruangh (Taodaijang) lifting the trophy.
The Sazangliu Gangmei Memorial Volley Ball Tournament which commenced since January 9 was opened by Chief Executive Officer (Education Department, Government of Manipur) RK Ragaisin at Taodaijang, also known as Bwabruangh in Nungba subdivision under Tamenglong district.
The event was opened with the motive of encouraging the volley ball lovers for the Zeliangrong community of Manipur, Assam and Nagaland.
A good number of teams participated in the tournament.
Chief Guest RK Raigaisin encouraged the sportspersons while speaking on the inaugural day.
According to secretary of the Sazangliu Gangmei Memorial Volley Ball Association (SGMVBA) R Chamgailung, the event was a success and congratulated the participants.
The champions were awarded Rs 8000, first runners-up collecting the Rs 5000 prize while the second runners-up had to be content with Rs 2000.Satudai club and Taolingpung club, both from Khoupum were the first and the second runners-up.
