Imphal, October 29 2008:
Madras Regiment Commandant handed over Youth Centre and Vocational Training Centre to the villagers of Sinjwal, a remote village close to Manipur-Mizoram-Myanmar border on October 28 .
According to a press release of PRO Hqs IGAR(S), the village sees Government officials only on their rare visits.
At times of need the villagers can rely only on Security Forces, added the release.
It further said that the SF has been looking after the village by providing medical facilities, solar lights, water supply schemes and now the twin project since the village was cleared from UGs presence two years back.
