Ngamkhei, a Manipuri stage play directed by Yumnam Anuradha Devi enthralled the audience at the National Theatre Festival for Children which was held from October 10 to 20 at Shriram Centre, New Delhi.
The festival was organised by National School of Drama.
Ngamkhei is the directorial debut of the 32-year old Aruradha.
She is the daughter of late Yumnam Birmani of Top Makha Leikai.
Just 30-minute long, the script of the play is written by director of Huyel Lallong Manipur Thang-Ta Cultural Association and is produced under the banner of the Association.
Expressing happiness over the success of her directorial debut in the festival which had been participated by around 22 theatre groups from all over the world, Anuradha said she wants to give the credit of the success to her mentor, director of the theatre group Khenjonglang S Thanileima.
