Pratiyogita Darpan, the magazine has appealed to the Manipuri Students� Federation (MSF) to lift the ban imposed on the sale of the magazine in Manipur in connection with publishing a controversial question paper of the preliminary examination of the Civil Services conducted by UPSC.
In a statement made available to the press, the manager of the publication said that the magazine is not authorised to make any alternation in any questions of an examination paper of the UPSC given to it for publication.
�We published the paper along with its solutions in the best interest of our competitors.
We cannot imagine to hurt the feelings of the students residing in any part of India, let alone writing any thing prejudicial to their sentiments.
Whatever happened has happened in inadvertence.
Even then we most genuinely regret that a mistake committed somewhere caused inconveniences to the students of Manipur�, the manager said.
While requesting MSF to lit the ban on the sale of the magazine, the manager also promise that in future �we shall continue to accord due respect and consideration to the feelings and sentiments of the student community who are dear to us�.
