Imphal, December 26 2012:
Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) has urged all concerned not to disrupt the movement of its staff during the ongoing bandh and curfew.
In a press release, RIMS Media Advisor said that most of the doctors, paramedical and maintenance staff are unable reach the institute due to the bandh and curfew.
The press release added that it is impossible to run the hospital without staff, power and water supply.
The Media Adviser said that apart from attending the ailing persons at OPD and Wards, there are round the clock admissions of emergency cases including those who are injured in the ongoing agitation.
As the maintenance staff could not attend the office, faulty power supplies could not be fixed in time which in turn affects to various hospital works including urgent and unavoidable operations, the press release added.
Non-Teaching Employees' Welfare Association of RIMS also urged the bandh supporters not to disrupt the movement of RIMS staff during the bandh.
