Imphal, November 18 2010:
The armed outfit KCP-MC has contradicted the police claim that they rescued Mayanglambam Ibochouba of Kyamgei Maning Leikai from the hands of a KCP-MC group.
A press release issued KCP-MC publicity and information secretary Paikhomba contended that Ibochouba was picked up by cadres of the outfit's Operation Mangal and later set him free considering his advanced age.
It went on to say that police commandos would never be able to rescue any captive from the hands of the outfit.
It further asked PWD officials and contractors to contact the party.
