Tawang, April 07 2010:
A sectorial meeting between India and Myanmar was held at Tawang in Arunachal from April 5 to 7, where among other issues, transborder smuggling of arms by underground outfits operating in the North East region was minutely discussed, disclosed a well placed source today.
The meeting was chaired by the Joint Secretary for North East Home Affairs of the Government of India and officials of Myanmar.
The Sp of Chandel district as well another official of the State Home Department also attended the meeting, said the source further.
