Imphal, August 23 2010:
Demanding appointment orders within the current month, the Association of DPC Successful Candidates for Primary Teacher/HMT/HGT 2006 took out a protest rally starting from MDU Hall, Yaiskul and submitted a memorandum to the Chief Minister today.
The rally was blocked by police as it reached near Imphal police station.
Even as a police team tried to help some representatives meet the Chief Minister, no appointment was given to the protesters.
The memorandum asked the Government to publish the recommendations made by the high power committee headed by the Chief Minister which enquired into the controversies surrounding the recruitment of Primary Teachers.
