Reminding of the agreement signed between the State Government and ATSUM on March 31 this year at the office chamber of Chief Minister, the All Tribal Students' Union Manipur (ATSUM) has raised strong concerned over the failure of the State Government to implement most of the term contained in the agreement.
A memorandum submitted to the Chief Minister recalled that ATSUM has been demanding formulation of reservation rules under Reservation of SC and ST Act 1976, conversion of 13 grant-in-aid schools into Government schools, extension of pension benefits to District Council employees and the publication of additional list (of 591) for appointment of teachers on contract basis.
It further urged the State Government to fulfil it promises at the earliest in the interest of one and all.
