After showing its ugly faces in many villages in Tamenglong district, malaria has hit Chakpikarong Block of Chandel district, said a press release issued by the Anal Naga Taangpi (ANTA).
Coupled with the incompetency of the Chakpikarong PHC and shortage of medicines, malaria has so far claimed 6 lives in Nungpan village and surrounding areas of the Block.
In addition, another 27 persons are undergoing treatment at Chakpikarong PHC after they were confirmed of malarial infection, conveyed the release.
It also urged the State Government to send doctors and required medicines immediately to avoid further human casualty because of the disease.
ANTA and ALT also conveyed strong condemnation against the killing of SN Premson at Leingangching by 21 AR.
