Imphal, July 18 2009:
Villagers of Joujangtek village under Nungba sub-division have been gratified by the successful implementation of NAIP (National Agricultural Innovative Project) by Central Agricultural University (CAU) under the leadership of Co-Principal Investigator Prof W Ingo, conveyed a press release issued by village chief Hemkhopao Haokip.
Under the project, the villagers have been able to produce 200 MT of potato worth Rs 20,00,000, garden pea worth Rs 60,000, cabbage worth Rs 20,000 and many others.
The project has other components like fishing, weaving, training etc.
The village chief exuded that the village can make good progress if the project continues to produce similar output in future too.
