The mystery disease that infected to three children of Khurai Puthiba Leikai recently has been confirmed as Rubella (German measles), said officials of the Integrated Disease Surveillance Project (IDSP) today.
Three children of Khurai Puthiba in Imphal east were hospitalized with the spread of the disease in the month of June this year.
Authority of the Integrated Disease Surveillance Project collected blood sample of the ailing children on June 15 and sent to National Institute of Communicable Diseases, New Delhi to confirm the unknown disease.

The report of the blood sample sent to the IDSP on July 7 last with the confirm report that the disease infected the children was Rubella, informed state IDSP nodal officer, Dr Bubon to Huiyen Lanpao today.
During an interaction with Hueiyen Lanpao, Dr Bubon said the said disease is commonly known as "Laithokpa".
The disease infected to human being once in a life time.
It spread through air that is the disease is an airborne disease.
It commonly infected to children of ages ranges from one to 14 year.
Rubella commonly known as German measles or 3-day measles is an infection that primarily affects the skin and lymph nodes.
It is caused by the rubella virus (not the same virus that causes measles), which is usually transmitted by droplets from the nose or throat that others breathe in.
It can also pass through a pregnant woman's bloodstream to infect her unborn child.
As this is a generally mild disease in children, the primary medical danger of rubella is the infection of pregnant women, which may cause congenital rubella syndrome in developing babies, he said.
Most rubella infections today appear in young, non-immunized adults rather than children.
In can be prevented from infection by immunization.
State health minister, Ph Parijat when called on by this reporter said that for the protection of the disease, medicines are available free of cost at the health centres and immunization is being done to the children of zero year to five year and pregnant women.
