Announcing its decision to boycott the Independence Day celebration on August 15, Kangleipak Communist Party (KCP) has appealed to the people, in particular the
student community, not to take part in any of the function to be organised in connection with Independence Day.
Participation in such celebration would mean surrendering to the diktats of the Indian Govt sacrificing our own identities and culture, KCP home secretary Lamphel Luwangcha said in a statement.
Division secretary of KCP Nongthang has also announced the decision of the outfit to boycott Independence day celebration on August 15.In a statement, Nongthang said the identities of the accomplices of Nganba Meetei who have been extorting money from the people in the name of KCP have been exposed and added they should surrender within three days.
He also demanded clarification from the officers conceerned of the General Section of PWD over the matter related to promotion.
