Imphal, November 16 2008:
THE DEAD bodies of two Myanmarese nationals killed by the Assam Rifles on November 13 in the border H Mongjang village have been handed over to the Myanmarese authority today.
Reports said that the dead bodies of the two brothers namely Loukhanhao Vaiphei and Khupthenthang were handed over to the chairman of Tamu District Peace and Development Council.
Mention may be made that troops of Assam Rifles had handed over the two dead bodies to the Moreh police station stating that they were suspected cadres of an underground group killed in an encounter around 1.30 am of November 13, along with arms and ammunitions said to be recovered from them.
