Imphal, November 16 2008:
Chief Secretary Rakesh accompanied by officials of the Works Department today inspected the ongoing developmental works being taken up at Thoubal and Imphal.
Accompanied by Works Commissioner Ram Muivah, Chief Engineer G Tonsana Sharma and other officials concerned, the team inspected a number of ongoing projects.

The works inspected today included Thoubal Mini-Secretariat, Thoubal district hospital, Wangjing bazar, Capitol Project and High Court complex.
The Chief Secretary opined that the works are progressing.
Talking to reporters, the Chief Secretary said progress can be seen in the works being taken up by the Government.
Works Commissioner Ram Muivah interacting with the reporters said that once the ongoing projects are completed, the State will see a lot of positive changes.
As part of the drive to modernise Imphal, tenders for constructing a City Convention have been floated informed the Works Commissioner further.
