Manipur's oil tanker burnt in Nagaland

Imphal, October 05 2010:
An Imphal bound oil tanker was burnt on Tuesday morning by miscreants at a place between Zakhama and Vishwema in Nagaland on NH-39, an official report received here said.
In the arson that took place in the morning at 5.30 am, part of the tanker (MN03-0271) has been partially damaged.
Details of the motive behind the arson could not be established immediately but the report said that the tanker belongs to a person hailing from Senapati district.
A driver who witnessed the incident said that rear tyres on both sides of the tanker were burnt by the arsonists.
Nagaland Police retrieved the tanker and has kept it in the custody of Misidema police station, the report said.
