Imphal, October 05 2010:
An Imphal-bound oil tanker coming along National Highway 39 was set aflame by unidentified persons near Viswema in Nagaland today morning.
According to police report, the oil tanker bearing registration no.MN-03/2071 was coming along National Highway-39 when unidentified persons set it on fire at a spot in between Zakhama and Viswema at around 5.30 am today.
The ill-fated oil tanker was the last of 160 goods laden trucks, 12 oil tankers and 8 LPG bullet tankers being escorted by security personnel.
On the other hand, 29 empty trucks, 12 oil tankers and 5 bullet tankers, which left Imphal, have reportedly entered Nagaland.
