Imphal, September 29 2009:
It was with a sense of optimism that people of Manipur received the news that a passport office has finally been opened at the Imphal post office.
However this has come with a rider, a tasteless one at that.
Though applications for passports can be submitted at the Imphal post office, no renewal forms can be submitted there.
This has come as a rude shock to many intending to travel abroad or renew their passports and parents of children studying abroad are forced to go to Guwahati.
