Imphal, July 23:
The RIMS has banned issuance of blood for transfusion to all Nursing Homes from the blood bank of RIMS, except blood component or blood products for which screening and service charge will be Rs 700 per unit and it should be transported with/by cold chain system only by the identified staff of the Nursing Homes concerned, conveyed a press release issued by the Medical Superintendent RIMS while adding that no patient party will be authorised to transport the blood products.
