The five day Sports meet cum cultural Festival jointly organised by the EMSA and Mayakho at Kambang Maring Village in Chandel district concluded yesterday.
The closing ceremony was held with MLA DK Korungthang and TK Molshipha as the chief guest and guest of honour respectively.
South East Manipur College lecturer L Solomon presided the closing ceremony of the five day event where sports activities and cultural programmes were staged culminating with the crowning of Miss Emsa Mayakho 2005 contest.
In men�s football competition, Kangoi Khullen Youth Club pipped Minou Youth Club to the title with a 3-1 victory via the tie-breaker while Kangoi Khunou spikers recorded a 3-0 win over Phungchong YC in girls� volleyball final.
Khudei Khunou YC blanked Harou Khullen YC 2-0 to claim the men�s volleyball title.
Kangoi Khunou YC missed the second title of the meet when its sepak-takraw team went down 1-2 against Kangoi Khullen in the final.
The Miss Emsa Mayakho 2005 Contest title was bagged by 19 year old D Temui Maring of Machi village with KSM Tedarthang (16) of Teraphai village and LK Teshil (17) of Kambang Khunou having to be content with the first and second runner-up titles respectively.
