Source: The Sangai Express Decrying last night's incident of triggering a bomb blast in front of Subha Hospital and Assisted Reproductive Centre at Uripok Kombirei Keithel which left four persons injuried and caused panic among the people of the surrounding area, a Wakat Meepham was staged in front of the Hospital today.
Staff of the Hospital, pharmacists of surrounding area and local residents participated in the Wakat Meepham which was staged along with putting up placards inscribed with slogans like 'Bombs are not toys', 'Don't trigger bombs in public places', 'We want to live in peace', 'Bomb attack in public places is an act of terrorism', etc.
Talking to mediapersons, one of the participants strongly decried the bomb blast and said that mindset of the attackers that the life of innocent civilians has no value should be given up at once.
"Every man or woman have their wife and husband, son and daughter, mother and father to look after.
In one way it is fortunate for the deceased.
"But how would remaining family members who are dependent on him or her survive should be pondered over," the protestor observed.
Another protestor noted that public are really uncertained and worried today.
''How they are supposed to live when they never know when a bomb blast would be triggered and firing broke out ?'', the protestor questioned.
In last night's bomb blast, four persons including two women sustained injuries.
The condition of Ibomcha, one of the victims, who is undergoing treatment at Shija Hospital is stated to be critical.
His left kidney has been removed and has been admitted to the intensive care unit.
On the other hand, according to a delayed report, unidentified gunmen opened fire two rounds at the Tera Yengkhom Leirak residence of Special Contractor Chirom Iboyaima Singh last night.
