A special team of All Manipur Anti-Drug Association (AMADA) today managed to round up the person involved in snatching the earring from 4-year old Haorangbam Roshni at Tera Loukham Leirak on July 27 morning.
The accused person identified as Naorem Raghumani Singh (37) s/o late Naorem Mangi of Tera Loukham Leirak was paraded in front of mediapersons during a press conference at the head office of AMADA this afternoon.

Roshni is the daughter of Haorangbam Prem of Saiton Leitanpokpi, who is a rickshaw driver by profession and currently stays in a rented house at Tera Loukham Leirak.
Speaking at the occasion, Drive Committee secretary of AMADA Konjengbam Meghachandra informed that Raghumani is a person who had been earlier pulled up by AMADA for selling illicit liquor.
Before committing the crime, Raghumani had consumed half a litre of liquor which he had purchased from one Mala, a neighbour, who also selling liquor.
The incident of snatching the ear-ring from Roshni took place while he was coming to get liquor for the second time.
Soon after receiving complaint from the parents of the girl child, the special team of AMADA pulled up many suspects for interrogation and finally identified Raghumani as the culprit today.
It has been known that Raghumani had snatched the ear-ring from the child without using any tools like scissor but in a brutal manner by pulling with his hands, thus requiring medical treatment of the child, Meghachandra said.
He further informed that necessary action would be taken up against Raghumani in accordance to the laid down norms of AMADA and Mala Devi who supplied liquor to the accused should surrender and come to AMADA head office within August 1.While seeking the support of the people in the going drive of AMADA, Meghachandra also fervently appealed to the people not to resort to burning down of the house of the accused or chasing him and his family members from the locality in connection with the crime.
