Imphal, January 21:
Expressing deep concern over the lack of progress in the development work on NH-39, the Senapati District Students' Association (SDSA) has urged the State Government to immeidately look into the matter so that the highway renovation work is accelerated.
A press release issued by the student body said that even as one month and a half has passed after it came to an understanding with the State Government for urgent repairing of NH-39, the pace of the highway development work remains quite dismal and unsatisfactory.
It further warned that it would be compelled to resume its suspended agitation against the Government anytime if the Government fails to initiate necessary action within this week.
