A liquor vendor has been pulled up by cadres of the Special Task Force of the UNLF and handed over to his family members after giving due advice, as part of its drive against use of intoxicants.
Talking to reporters somewhere in Bishnupur district today, a spokesman of the task force said that the liquor vendor, Soram Johnson was pulled up for selling liquor at his hotel at Kumbi.
He was picked up on November 29.Johnson was earlier warned by the outfit to stop selling liquor and despite the drive taken up by many social organisations against intoxicants, he carried on with his trade, said the spokesman.
The vendor also did not turn up when summoned by the outfit earlier.
The vendor has been handed over to his family members with the advice to mend his ways ,said the spokesman and added that if he does not reform then stern action will be taken up without any warning.
