Imphal, July 07:
Making its stand clear, the Democratic Students' Alliance of Manipur today stated that it does not welcome the visit of the Indian Parliamentary which is here to promote Hindi language in the State.
In a statement, DESAM said that imposition of Hindi, even if it is the National language of India has never been accepted unanimously by all the people of India and there have been numerous protests against such a move in the past.
Manipur too does not need any imposition of Hindi or ay effort of make it the official language, as Manipur has its own script and well developed language as well as culture and traditions.
