Deputy Commissioner of Tamenglong, Devesh Deval, IAS has inspected the work sites at the district to oversee the progress of the works taken up under the National Rural Employment Generation Scheme.
The DC also interacted with the villagers to see if their wages are being paid timely and was impressed with the works being taken up by the villagers.
Prior to the inspection, a meeting of the Governing Body of District Rural Development Agency DRDA, Tamenglong was held at the office of the DC, which looks after the affairs of most of the developmental schemes given to the district.
Meanwhile a meeting of the District Level Vigilance and Monitoring Committee, DLVCM was also held at Tamenglong on October 8 with its Chairman, Mani Charenamei MP from Outer Manipur presiding.
The meeting discussed at length the problems being faced by the district in taking out several developmental schemes.
The meeting was attended by its member secretary, Devesh Deval and MLA Awangbow Newmai and district level officers.
