Against the failure of the Government to conduct interview of for recruitment teachers after the written test results have been declared about 18 months back, the All Manipur Written Test Successful Candidates' Association for Primary Teacher has threatened to impose indefinite economic blockade on both the National Highways from October 17 .
Meanwhile, AISF Manipur State Council has also geared up to launch intense agitation on the same matter from November.
Talking to reporters, president of the All Manipur Written Test Successful Candidates' Association for Primary Teacher Luminthang recalled that written test for recruitment of primary teachers was held
in 2006 .
Although 5322 candidates were selected for interview from the written test, the Government has buried the whole recruitment process by refraining from conducting the necessary interview indefinitely.
In case the Government fails to fix the date and venue for the interview by October 16, an indefinite economic blockade will be imposed on both the National Highways from 6 am of the next day.
Meanwhile, AISF Manipur State Council has also warned of intense agitation from November if the Government fails to conduct interview for recruitment of Primary and Graduate candidates within the current month.
