Imphal, August 26 2009:
The 37th Myanmar-India border liaison meeting has been organised by Myanmarese Army at Kalemyo from today (August 26) till August 31 .
A fourteen member delegation from the Indian side led by Major General S S Pawar, Chief Of Staff, HQ 3 Corps and assisted by Brigadier Balbir Singh, Commander, 26 Sector and Colonel Vijay Sahgal, Colonel GS of HQ IGAR (South) left today for Myanmar from Mantripukhri at 11 am, a press release issued by PRO, HQ IGAR (South) informed.

The press release remarked that the Indo-Myanmar border liaison meet is a landmark event where representatives of both the Armies interact and coordinate border management activities.
The event also gives an opportunity to all the delegates to know each other on a personal level and helps in further strengthening the bonds of friendship between both the countries.
The delegation is scheduled to return to Imphal on August 31 after fruitful discussions.
