All Manipur Bus Owners' Association (AMBOA) has decided to suspend its stir as the representatives of the association were today said to have been requested by the state transport minister to wait till 3pm of October 26 .
The bus owners have decided to suspend the proposed stir of ceasing bus services and surrendering of road permits as the representatives of the AMBOA have been assured of prompt action to their demand, AMBOA president Biren informed Hueiyen Lanpao on phone this evening.
He said the association will wait till the 3pm of October 26 and the agitation will be suspended till then.
He added, if the demands are not fulfilled by then, the association will resume its agitations.
AMBOA has been demanding framing of long-term transport policy to solve the problems arising out of the ever increasing passenger services vehicles in the state.
