Nagaland budget session from Mar 22

Imphal, March 11 2011:
The budget session of Nagaland legislative assembly would be held from March 22 to March 29 next.
NLA business advisory committee (BAC), which met Friday, finalized the tentative provisional programme for the ninth session of the Eleventh NLA with six working days and two days recess in between.
The business to be transacted during budget session 2011 include Governor's address; obituary reference; questions; laying of papers/reports/rules etc.; government bills; presentation of various assembly committee reports; resolutions, if any; presentation of supplementary demand for grants for regularization of excess expenditure for the year 2003-04; presentation of demand for grants for the year 2010-11; presentation of budget for the year 2011-12; presentation of audit general of India for the year 2009-10 and adjournment of session sine die.
BAC chairman and NLA speaker Kiyanilie Peseyie confirmed that session would begin March 22 and continue till March 29 with two days recess in between �� March 23 (Wednesday) and March 27 (Sunday) .
It was also learnt that as usual there was not much government business except for the normal business.
The session is likely to be dominated by normal question hours and budget discussion.
Meanwhile, a meeting of the members of NPF legislature party has been convened March 21, 2 p.m.at State Banquet Hall, Kohima to discuss the agendas before the assembly and other related issues.
State minister for parliamentary affairs T.R.Zeliang has requested all members to attend the meeting.
