Balshree award for Langambi Chanu

Chingakham Chanu Langambi has been selected for the prestigious Balshree Award for the year 2011-12 .
She is the lone awardee from the whole Northeast region and among 50 children selected from all over the country for the award in four different streams.
Daughter of Chingakham Kyamba and Chingakham ongbi Sandhyarani of Wangkhei keithel Ashangbi, Chingakham Chanu Langambi is presently pursuing her class X at Heritage Convent, Uripok.
She has been selected in the category of creative scientific innovations.

The Bal Shree Scheme seeks to identify creative children within the age group of 9 to16 years in four identified areas of creativity, namely creative performance, creative art, creative scientific innovations and creative writing.
The awards would be presented to the selected children by President Pranab Mukherjee at Rashtrapati Bhawan tomorrow.
