Nagaland chief Minister Neiphiu Rio will be the chief guest for the 2009 Lui-Ngai-Ni, the seed sowing festival of the Nagas in Manipur which will be held in Tamenglong district headquarters on February 15 .
With the state level Lui-Ngai-Ni, the seed sowing festival of the Nagas, all set to be held on February 15 at the Tamenglong district headquarters, the Zeliangrong Students' Union, Manipur (ZSUM) has appealed to all civil society organisations not to called any bandh or agitations during the festival time that could disrupt the celebration in any way.
Majabung Gangmei, state secretary of the ZSUM called upon all the various civil society organisations of the state not to call any bandh during the celebration.
Informing that the seed sowing festival would be attended by dignitaries such as Neiphiu Rio, Chief Minister of Nagaland as chief guest, TR Zeliang, Minister of Planning, Nagaland, Thangminlien Kipgen, Chairman of Hills Area Committee, Manipur, the state secretary appealed all civil organisations and student bodies to participate in the festival with maximum cooperation inorder to make the programme a grand success.
Organised by the Zeliangrong Baudi, Lui-Ngai-Ni will be held at the Lower Ground, Tamenglong district, Headquarters on February 15 from 10:30 a.m.informed Majabung Gangmei, state secretary of the ZSUM.
