Some employees of the state veterinary and animal husbandry department today expressed apprehension of higher authority of the department trying to extend service period of one of the seven officers of the department who are to retire from service on attaining superannuation allegedly bargaining.
Seven officers of the department including three joint directors, Dr.Th Dorendra, Dr L Jila and Dr N Babu (all grade-II), two grade-III officers, Dr K Amusana and Dr.S Dhabali, one grade-IV officer Dr A Nogendro and an SDO (extension) A Suren are retiring from their services on 28th of this current month on attaining superannuation age as per an order of the department issued on February 9 .
However, some section of the employees quoting information from highly reliable source expressed apprehension that one of the employees among the retiring joint directors is trying to convince the higher authorities of the department that his service is an important and necessary for the department to allow extension of his service which is not in actual sense.
They got the information of processing for re-appointing him, the employees who did not one to name said.
The said joint director is the one who was not considered by the DPC committee held on August 29 and 30 for the promotion to the post of the director of the department, they said.
