T Lailoiphai Youth Development Organisation (TLYDO) of Churachanpur today celebrated its 25th year of existence with a function at village ground.
President of VZO, Manipur special contractor Ginsuanthau Mate, chief executive engineer of PMGSY Churachadpur, Md Husain, special contractor Yaima Maring, EE of PMGSY, Chandel Usham Bijoy and chief of village of different villages were in the dais at the silver jubilee function.
Pastor, rev Mangkhosei Baite unveiled the memorial stone erected to mark the 25 years of existence of TLYDO at the village before the formal celebration function marked by presentation of cultural dances kicked off.
President of VZO Manipur, Ginsuanthau speaking on the occasion appealed to the hills people to avail the benefits of various developmental and welfare schemes sanctioned by the government of India for the improvement of the living condition of tribals through the state government.
He further urged village chiefs to be sincere in serving the people and getting benefits from different welfare schemes in their villages.
EE Bijoy urged everyone to give peace a chance so that development could be brought about.
Peace will not come without people's efforts.
Peace can be brought about when people of both hills and valley love one another and live in harmony.
By concerted effort of the people of both hills and valley, all problems facing the people can be solved.
Delay in solving issues facing the people means delay in development.
People should point out those who instigating hatred, he said.
