A social service was conducted today by the pharmacists joinlty with the Medical Superintendent and other staff of hospital at the JNHospital, Porompat cleaning the drainages, corridors and streets within the hospital campus under the aegis of the JN Hospital Pharmacies' Association.
"The social work has been initiated with a clear conviction that cleanliness must begin from hospitals," the president of the JN Hospital Pharmacies' Association, M Somorjit said while adding that the social work will also be held next Sunday.
Around 70 individuals have participated in the social service today.
The social works will be continued next Sunday to complete the pending works.
Somorjit also appealed people who are in the hospital to attend patients to maintain cleanliness inside the campus.
Lauding the efforts of the pharmacists, the Medical Superintendent of JN Hospital, Dr N Rajen also appealed the attendants of patients to dumb waste materials in the dustbins instead of littering.
He also appealed all concerns to make the hospital tidy by treatit as their own.
