DESAM bans Principal from teaching

The Principal of Chadongpokpi Chingyapat Hill Rose English Academy, who was alleged of sodomising his students have admitted to have committed the heinous crime and the Democratic Students Alliance of Manipur (DESAM) has banned him from further pursuing his career as a teacher henceforth.
Laishram Chinglen, the Principal submitted himself to DESAM admitting his fault openly at a press conference held at the students union's office at Keishampat today.
Addressing media persons, Moirangthem Angamba, Secretary General, DESAM, said that DESAM along with a team of media persons visited the students of Chadongpokpi Chingyapat Hill Rose English Academy on January 5 last and took a first hand account of the incident.
The organization had also asked Laishram Chinglen to submit himself to DESAM.
But inspite of admitting his fault, Chinglen along with the president of the Tangjeng Meira Paibi Lup, Y Memcha, clarified that he was not guilty, in the media.
But later it was learnt that Y Memcha was not present in the press conference.
Her proxy was done by one Chaobi.
He further said that all if any unwanted incidents come up in the life of the students; Chinglen should take all the responsibility.
He also appealed to all the Child Rights Organisations in the state to come out and help the victim students.
