Imphal, July 05:
The ANSAM has alerted all the tribal people to oppose any move of chief minister O Ibobi and his Govt.to upgrade the border town of Moreh to the status of Municipality.
ANSAM said that it genuinely appreciated the Kuki chiefs for voicing against Ibobi's remark that the Moreh town be upgraded to that of Municipality status.
ANSAM said that the move of CM O Ibobi Singh would amount to losing the ownership rights of the tribal people in the border town which is purely a tribal area.
The Naga students' body said that the upgradation policy of O Ibobi regarding the Moreh town to Municipality status is a guise and means to assimilate and swallow up the tribal peoples rights and their land in the region.
