Imphal, March 24:
US Consul General George N Sibley who is in Imphal on a four day visit today informed media persons that the US Government in collaboration with the Indian Government will take up a solid waste management project in Imphal and another project to meet the AIDS threat.
Talking to the media at Hotel Nirmala today, the Consul General said that the two projects will be implemented soon, though he did not divulge the details.
Sibley added that he would get in touch with a NGO to take up the AIDS project.
The Consul General who arrived here on Monday along with his wife earlier met the Chief Minister and held general discussions covering different issues.
