Imphal, Aug 10:
Detailing plight of the students and parents' despair owing to cessation of academic activities after the aided-college teachers resorted to ceasework strike, Liberal College Governing Body, Luwangsangbam has impressed upon the Government to resolve the impasse amicably.
In a memorandum addressed to the Commissioner (University & Higher Education), the Governing Body desired that there be no further delay in bringing an end to the agitation as apart from the students, the guardians too are becoming restless over the fate of their wards.
The college body also cautioned that indifferent attitude by all concerned to the problem, which is beginning to test the students' tolerance capability, might embroiled into a major crisis as the students might opt for violent means to highlight their anxiety.
Moreover, prolong closer of educational institutes, as is being observed at the present juncture, is certain to impede pursuit of quality education, added the memo.
