Imphal, January 05 2008:
Following removal of two-three plates of an iron bridge at Purum Likli along Imphal-Saikul road by some miscreants last night, vehicular movement over the said bridge was suspended for sometime today.
The vehicular movement could be resumed only after the villagers located the abandoned plates and fixed them on the bridge again.
Talking to The Sangai Express, president of KSO Saikul Thongjallun Mate said even if the plates were removed to protest the deplorable condition of the bridge, it should not be repeated in the interest and safety of the public.
