Two display boards which provide necessary information related on environment have been installed in different part of the capital city today.
The environmental information display boards have been installed under the programme of Environment Information Dissemination Programme being taken by Environment and Ecology Wing which under the Department of Forest and Environment, Government of Manipur.
The installation/launching ceremony was held at the campus of Board of Secondary Education, Manipur (BSEM) with Additional Chief Secretary of Forest and Environment Saichhuana, BSEM chairman and Education (S) Director Dr Ch Jayantakumar and Additional Joint Director of Forest and Environment Ph Nandakumar as chief guest, president and guest of honour respectively.
Both the display boards have Light Emitting Device (LED) and presented the detailed information about the weather condition and other necessary information on the environmental condition of Manipur.
One of the boards has been installed inside the campus of BSEM complex with a view to help the students to expand their horizon of knowledge, while the other has been put up near the Kangla moat for the general public.
