FCS Minister Ph Parijat Singh has refuted the allegation leveled against his Department of cancelling the kerosene quota for the hostelers of Manipur University.
Addressing a press conference at Irabot Bhavan here this afternoon, FCS Minister clarified that he had only objected to allotment of kerosene quota in an illegal manner as was being done earlier.

While asserting that there is no provision for appointing a separate sub-dealer for the students, Parijat said that the dealership had been cancelled as the sub-dealer of MU appointed was illegal.
He further informed that an order had already been issued yesterday for allotting 2000 litres of kerosene oil for 500 students of the university who either hostellers or day-scholars.
