During the course of the seminar held in three sessions, Assistant News Editor of DDK, Imphal Robert J Baite, Editor of Newmai News Network Witoubou Newmai and Advocate Miss Heboi Kipgen detailed the gathering on seminar theme as resource persons.
While Robert Baites speech highlighted changing scenario of the media, pressure against from various quarters and predicament of media organisations and its personnel, Witoubou asserted that despite difficult working conditions including frequent intimidations from UG groups the media had seldom deviated from the principle of unbiased news dissemination.
Witoubou also pointed out that rather than sharing central idea of any related matter many organisations issue lengthy non-relevant press statements only to culminate with threat if all the contents are not accommodated due to space constraints.
He also entertained and responded on several media-related queries posed by members of the audience.
