Two teachers of Slopeland Public School, Khongjom have been sent to jail in connection with dead of a student staying at the boarding of the school on July 23 .
The two teachers were among four teachers who were arrested by the police in connection with the dead of the student identified as Gurumayum Chitaranjan.
The two teachers sent to jail after producing before the duty magistrate were vice principal of the school and chief warden Wangkheimayum Madhuchandra (33) son of Munal of Langthabal Khunou and warden of the Poana house where Chitaranjan belonged Asemb Basanta (40) son of Thouba of Thoubal Athokpam.
The court however freed two other teachers arrested in connection with the case.
They were Asem ongbi Leibaklei (32) wife of Basanta, serving as staff nurse in the school and Loitongbam Lalti (38) son late Birchandra of Toubungkohn.
On the other hand, the school has been remaining closed since the ransacked by the guardians of the school after the dead of the student.
