Imphal, November 11:
The much awaited opening of the Sri Sri Radhakrishnachandra Manimandir for public worship will ultimately be realized on November 21 along with pomp and show.
Ajit Das, the temple president exuded confidence that all participants will experience unlimited happiness at the opening ceremony.
He implied that a major crowd puller at the event could be a Ras Leela of 108 Krishna and 108 Radha, all children below twelve years of ages.
Twenty Five Krishna artistes have been enlisted from an orphanage and very interestingly one of them belongs to the Kuki community.
Other highlights at the public dedication could be exhibitions from Meitei expatriates from Myanmar, Balinese devotees and customary show by the Kabui community.
As a tribute to His Divine Holiness, Bhaktisvarupa Damodora Swami Srila Sripada on his 70th birthday, an international conference on science and spirituality for world peace will be organized.
It will take place on November 23-24 at RIMS Jubilee Hall.
Chairman of the organizing committee Sri Atmanivedanswami recalled that though the much hyped inauguration of the temple took place seven years ago, the actual opening could only happen now mainly due to financial constraint hampering its completion.
Even now, only 60 percent of the total infrastructure has been fully installed.
Interior decoration and other embellishment jobs have been kept on the wait and will follow once the financial condition improves, he added.
He said, the temple building was the cherished project of Damodora Swami .
However, his spiritual presence will guide his disciples in his every endeavour left unfulfilled.
He mentioned the construction of a library, a Ras Mandal and the world's first University of Bhagavata Culture.
The campus will be an important centre for promotion of Bhagawata teaching, revival of vaishnavism and passing on a legacy of high morality to the new generation vitiated by the vices of materialism, he asserted.
The international summit, which will be on science and spirituality for world peace is expected to attract four foreign speakers and many international delegates.
The conference session includes seven themes.
