Imphal, September 03:
Deliberating on a wide range of issue confronting the organisation, general secretary of banned Kangleipak Communist Party (KCP) Noyon alias Laba said the partys central committee has adopted a five prong strategy to cleanse its public image.
Acknowledging confusion caused to the general public on the number of armed groups posing as KCP activists, the general secretary, interacting with mediapersons in a place located outside manipur, claimed there is no faction within the organisation.
Reiterating that KCP had ceased home demand he said it is the prerogative of the people to take any form of action against person/s who issues or insists on home demand to which the party leaders or activists would not intervene.
Citing january 7, 2003 as the date of ceasing home demand Noyon reassured the people that KCP would not react against any section of the public when impostors or even party members show up in connection with the home demand.
As the party has acquired adequate information on some persons misusing KCPs name on money matter the organisation has itself taken up necessary measures to punish such culprits, he affirmed.
Coming to the five point strategy, the general secretary insisted that the central committee realised the need to adopt such a measure to get rid of unscrupulous elements as they had besmirched the image of the KCP as well as to strengthen the organisation.
The central committee prescribed strategy include strengthening and streamlining the organisation activities, transparency in financial ma-tters, taking over of economic affairs by the general secretary in order to supplement transparency effort, replenishing armed wing (Red Army) and close rapport with the general public including honouring public feedbacks and suggestions, Noyon mentioned.
Saying that the strategies had already been implemented the general secretary informed of taking over charge of financial aspect of the organisation for the time being in order to streamline and maintain financial discipline.
Upon achieving financial discipline the charge would be handed over to a new finance secretary, he asserted while adding that decision to hold charge of the financial matter in addition to look after the armed wing is to bring about a positive change in the party set-up.
Sharing his views on uniting various revolutionary outfits in attaining the common goal, he said KCP is making all out effort to bring cohesion and unity among different armed organisations while categorically stating that there is no such group by the name of KCP (P) as KCP is only one.
Seeking cooperation and blessing of the general public to pursuit of the organisation, Noyon called upon the people to shed all inhibition in conveying any misconduct carried out in KCPs name for which the party would chalk out and intimate plan to establish constant contact.
Responding to a query on ban imposed against production and screening of Manipuri digital films, Noyon denying KCPs involvement on the issue in any manner said the party is in favour of prosperity of Manipuri film and culture at all times.
