Imphal, October 19 2008:
JAC of AMTUC and AMGEO has sent an ultimatum to the Chief Minister today of launching agitations if the Government fails to change their demands into action by
November 3 .
The 14-point demand of the JAC included adoption of "Accepted Recommendations of the sixth Central Pay Commission.
According to a press release, the JAC had also submitted a memorandum to the Chief Minister with the same points to discuss the matter by October 15 on September 29 last.
However, it added, as the Government failed to give any positive response within this time, the Executive Council of JAC decided to send an ultimatum of agitation in a meeting held on October 17 .
